Choose at least one variable on this screen for your report. You can do this by browsing for variables through the Category and Subcategory lists, or by using the Search.
The variables shown are tied to the criteria you selected in Step 1 (subject, grade, measure, and jurisdiction), which are indicated for you at the top of the screen:

To change criteria, return to Step 1, Select Criteria.
To browse for variables, select them, and get details about them,
Use the green arrows to open
and close
categories and subcategories of variables;
Click details to show and hide the question wording (Full Title) of each variable, the NAEP ID, and the Values (some variables have the same short title, but comparing details will show you where the questions differ);
Select or deselect years to include in your data query (will override your selections from Step 1); and
See the display of data (variable) availability.
When you have selected the variable(s) you want to include, continue by clicking the Edit Reports button
at the bottom of the page, or use the tab at the top to go to the next screen. If you want to see the data quickly without editing the format, you can click on the Build Reports tab.
