You can access Step 4, Build Reports, after choosing criteria in Step 1, Select Criteria. The default report built will provide data for just average scale scores and for the total (All Students) variable. Similarly, you can access Step 4 after choosing one or more variables in Step 2, Select Variables, bypassing Step 3, Edit Reports. In this case, you will obtain reports for each variable, with the same default of scale scores and standard errors.
In Build Reports, you can
see a data table for each report selected in Step 3, Edit Reports (the default is to retrieve data for all of the reports if Step 3 (Edit Reports) is skipped);
export and save data tables into various formats using the Export Reports button: HTML (print-friendly), Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe PDF;
select the Chart tab to create and customize charts of the data for each report and save them for export in the above formats;
select the Significance Test tab to run a significance test on your results, customize it and export it;
Select the Gap Analysis tab to test for gaps that are statistically significant for the variables in your reports, customize, and export; and
if you have selected states, you can produce either a U.S. map or a sortable Comparison table showing results for your significance tests, including gaps.

Note: Charts will not remain available for export if you want to choose new variables by going back to Step 2, Select Variables, or Step 3, Edit Reports, so export any chart you want to save before you leave the Build Reports screen.
