Suggestions from the most recent meeting of the IPEDS Technical Review Panel are posted at https://edsurveys.rti.org/IPEDS_TRP/ and are currently open for comment. Suggestions are from Technical Review Panel #41, “Managing Reporting Burden,” that was held on March 19-20, 2013, in Washington DC. Comments from interested parties should be sent to Janice Kelly-Reid, IPEDS Project Director at RTI International, at ipedsTRPcomment@rti.org, and are due by July 19, 2013.
The following IPEDS data have now been released as “final” within the IPEDS Data Center ( http://nces.ed.gov/ipeds/datacenter/ ): Institutional Characteristics (2011-12); Completions (2010-11), Twelve-Month Enrollment (2010-11); and Student Financial Aid (2010-11). Final release data include revisions to the provisional data that have been made by institutions during the subsequent data collection year, using the Prior Year Revision System. As a reminder, all IPEDS Keyholders are encouraged to create a custom comparison group for use in the 2013 IPEDS Data Feedback Report (DFR), which will be mailed to the institution’s CEO/President (and emailed to Keyholders) this fall. Creating a custom comparison group is not required; however, we highly encourage institutions to take advantage of this opportunity to make their Data Feedback Report more useful. The deadline for uploading a comparison group for the DFR is July 16, 2013.
You can create a custom comparison group for the report using the IPEDS Data Center ( http://nces.ed.gov/ipeds/datacenter/ ) or within the Data Collection System under the Tools menu. Instructions for creating a group are located under the Help menu.
