Part III—Getting from “Here” to “There”: Developing What You Want

When an education agency has firmly established both a vision and support for the LDS, focus should turn to implementation. Now that they know where "there" is, agencies can depart from "here" and begin work towards the desired destination. LDS projects may either be planned in phases or confronted all at once, and states have taken both routes. Which is most appropriate for you depends on many factors; perhaps the most important are the agency's available resources and the scope of the project.

Part III discusses many of the decisions an education agency will have to make and the challenges it may face while building or purchasing a system. It also offers tips to help make the ride to "there" go more smoothly.
