Join NewsFlashPurpose: The Education Privacy Working Group will review the current Forum documents on privacy and determine the scope of the revisions needed based on recent FERPA guidance and changes in education data management and use.
Current Tasks: The Education Privacy Working Group is working on a single revised privacy product that will replace all current documents (resources for schools, LEAs and SEAs). An online publication will be developed, with potential subsequent updates to include future guidance from ED when available. Additional smaller print documents to assist LEA staff will be published thereafter. Work is currently on hold in anticipation of new FERPA guidelines from ED.
Meeting Schedule: This working group met for the second time in February 2010 in Phoenix, AZ. No future meeting is currently scheduled.
