Disruptive Event Type

The type of disruptive event.

Code Set:

• disaster - A natural or man-made disaster that causes the displacement of students from one location to another.
• discipline incident - An event classified as warranting discipline action.
• fire alarm - A fire alarm warning event as a result of a fire.
• fire drill - A fire alarm warning drill.
• pandemic - A wide-spread disease that is significant enough to cause large-scale disruption of education systems. In contrast to a disaster, a pandemic generally does not result in the displacement of students from one location to another.
