    The unduplicated number of children with disabilities (IDEA) who are ages 14 through 21 and exited special education during the reporting year. The data group is submitted at the following levels: • SEA • LEA

    studentProgramParticipation
    Count of students who were enrolled, unduplicated at the education unit level between July 1 and June 30.


    studentExitDate
    Count of students who exited, unduplicated at the education unit level between July 1 and June 30.


    Race/Ethnicity
    The general racial category that most clearly reflects individuals’ recognition of their community or with which individuals most identify.

    Values:
    AM - Armenia
    AS - American Samoa
    BL - Black (not Hispanic)
    HI - Hawaii
    MISSING -
    WH - White (not Hispanic)


    Sex (Membership)
    The concept describing the biological traits that distinguish the males and females of a species.

    Values:
    F - Female
    M - Male
    MISSING -


    LEP Status (Both)
    An indication of whether students are limited English proficient

    Values:
    LEP - Limited English proficient (LEP) Student
    MISSING -
    NLEP - Non–limited English proficient (Non–LEP) Student


    Disability Category (IDEA)
    The disability condition that best describes a child’s impairment (e.g., the impairment that is most disabling). Code set based on the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).

    AUT - Autism
    DB - Deaf-Blindness
    EMN - Emotional Disturbance
    HI - Hawaii
    MD - Moldova, Republic of
    MISSING -
    MR - Mauritania
    OHI - Other Health Impairment
    OI - Orthopedic Impairment
    SLD - Specific Learning Disability
    SLI - Speech or Language Impairment
    TBI - Traumatic Brain Injury
    VI - Virgin Islands, U.S.


    Age (Exiting)
    The age of children (students) on the date of the most recent IDEA child count prior to exiting special education.

    Values:
    14 - Age 14
    15 - Hawaii
    16 - Idaho
    17 - Illinois
    18 - Indiana
    19 - Iowa
    20 - Kansas
    21 - Kentucky

    Basis of Exit
    The reason children who were in special education at the start of the reportin period, but were not in special education at the end of the reporting period.

    Values:
    D - Drugs
    DROPOUT - Dropped out
    GHS - Graduated with regular high school diploma
    MISSING -
    MKC - Moved, known to be continuing
    RC - Received a certificate
    RMA - Reached maximum age
    TRAN - Transfer to regular education
