The Social Rating Scale (SRS) is not available online, although a detailed description of the SRS is available in the ECLS-K User's Manuals and Psychometric Reports. The SRS was adapted from the Social Skills Rating Scale (Gresham and Elliott, 1990) and is copyright protected. However, the restricted-use item-level data and questionnaire items are available on CD to restricted-use data license holders who receive publisher and NCES permission for access to the items. Information about applying for a restricted-use data license can be found at Restricted-use Data Licenses.

The ECLS-K direct child assessment was adapted from several copyrighted assessment batteries; assessment batteries are not posted here due to copyright restrictions. However, a detailed description of the direct child assessment is available in the ECLS-K User's Manuals and Psychometric Reports. For more information, please visit the Direct Cognitive Assessments page. To learn more about accessing the ECLS-K assessment batteries, please see Guidelines for Obtaining Access to and Using ECLS-K Direct Assessments, Copyrighted Measures, and Student Item-Level Assessment Response Data; Application for the Use of ECLS-K Assessments, Socioemotional Rating Scales, and/or Item-Level Data; and Conditions of Use of the ECLS-K Assessment Battery and NonDisclosure Agreement.
