The average total price of attending community colleges for full-time students increased from about $8,000 to $9,100 between 1992–93 and 1999–2000. Increases in price were also observed after federal and state grants were subtracted (net price 1), as well as after all grants were subtracted (net price 2). However, no difference was detected between 1992–93 and 1999–2000 in the net price that community college students paid after loans and grants were subtracted from the total price (net price 3); full-time community college students paid roughly $7,000 in both 1992–93 and 1999–2000.
