The Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS) provides reliable and timely data on the mathematics and science achievement of U.S. 4th- and 8th-grade students compared to that of students in other countries. TIMSS data have been collected in 1995, 1999, 2003, and 2007.
A note about the TIMSS 2007 report: An error discovered in reporting estimates and standard errors for the cognitive domains in chapters on mathematics and science achievement has been corrected. Changes were made in the section "Content and cognitive domains scores in 2007" in both chapters. In the mathematics chapter, tables 6 and7 have been replaced with corrected versions. In the science chapter, tables 14 and 15 have been replaced with corrected versions. The report Highlights From TIMSS 2007: Mathematics and Science Achievement of U.S. Fourth- and Eighth-Grade Students in an International Context was updated September 1, 2009 to include these revisions. In addition, four supplemental tables—E-3, E-4, E-22, and E-23—were corrected and replaced.

TIMSS 2007 report4th IEA International Research Conference (IRC):
The 4th IEA International Research Conference will be held at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, from July 1-3, 2010.
