2008–09 TFS Questionnaires

The 2008–09 Teacher Follow-up Survey (TFS) was sent to a subsample of public and private teachers who responded to the 2007–08 SASS Teacher Questionnaire. The Questionnaires for Former Teachers was sent to teachers who left the K-12 teaching profession. The Questionnaires for Current Teachers was sent to those who continued to teach, either in the same school or another school. There is an additional version for each of the two questionnaires (Former and Current) that were sent out only to teachers who reported in SASS that they began teaching in 2007 or 08. These additional questionnaires were the content of the second data collection or second wave in the Beginning Teacher Longitudinal Study (BTLS).

The Teacher Follow-up Survey collected data on the following topics: occupational conditions and experiences; job satisfaction; and changes from the previous year.
